The Forestville Union School District has been undergoing a multi-year renewal of its technology program which provides students access to a litany of modern technology resources.
In conjunction with Sonoma County Office of Education, FUSD uses Google’s G Suite for Education providing students secure email accounts, word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and online collaboration tools.
Our computer lab has 34 Windows 10 desktop computers, which are available for teachers to reserve at any time. Additionally, all of our classrooms have 1-1 chromebooks. Students in grades TK – 5th grade use their chromebooks in the classroom from the chromebook cart at the teachers’ discretion. Students in grades 6 – 8 are checked out a chromebook in a zippered case that they carry from class to class and take home daily. We are happy to be able to offer parent insurance policies starting in the 2022/23 school year. Please contact Cisco Piazzo for more information at cpiazzo@forestvilleusd.org
A recent campus-wide infrastructure upgrade has provided 10 times the networking bandwidth for staff and students as well as high-speed wireless with separate secure and content filtered networks for students and staff alike.
Forestville School (K-1st) and Academy (2nd-6th) are committed to equipping our students with the tools they need for academic, personal and social achievement.
